Materials Person – Nightshift (Peterhead)
Materials Person: Responsible for the full cycle of materials management within their stores
This is a great opportunity for an individual with a stores or materials background, who would like to further their career within a high performing team that prides themselves on delivering quality products and services in line with the company, client, and quality expectations.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
- Responsible for looking after all Score / client stock as per procedures
- Support other stores teams where the priority dictates
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to customs issues related to company’s business
- Liaise with the rota controller regards changes to the late shift cover requirements
- Prepare for and attend in-house meetings to discuss ongoing / future tasks
- Work to set priorities dictated by workload
- Ensure you are working at maximum capacity to meet priority deadlines set by senior staff
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
- Support / educate other remote sites material staff if seconded remotely / abroad
- SVQ level 2 Warehousing and Stores or equivalent is desirable but previous experience will be taken into consideration
- Previous experience within a Stores or warehouse environment is essential
- Previous experience of the equipment and machinery used within a stores/warehouse environment, including forklifts is preferred
- Computer literate – is essential
- An understanding of stock control systems is preferred
- Familiarity with import and export process is desirable
- Awareness of risk assessments within a materials function is preferred
- Effective communications skills both verbal and written
- The ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continual improvement and a flexible approach to change
- Strong personal integrity
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering HSE excellence
